The "First September" event is held by Penn Clubs throughout the world for new grads and people new to the area, as well as any other alums.  Our club had not had one of these events in the past.  We decided to see how this event would work in our area.  The event was held at Lexington Square Café in Mt. Kisco, NY.  We took over the area next to the bar and began to take over part of the bar.  We had almost 40 attendees, making this event even more successful than anticipated.  Many alums noted that they had never been to a Penn event ever before.  We treated the alumni to wonderful hors d'oeuvres and there was a cash bar available.  The event was scheduled for 7 to 9PM, although many were still there well past 9PM!
